Please don’t go by the photos of this place.. coz they are deceptive.. major major service issues this property has..and when you want to complaint the people will just hear you as if they are used to getting these complaints Fay and night and it doesn’t bother them.. we checked in at 5pm today and it’s just 11pm and we already feel we did a biggg mistake to stay with them.. geysers don’t work in bathroom and plumber who came to check said you have to waste 10 buckets of water atleast for hot water to start coming from taps.. we called for extra bed for our daughter and she got up after 30 mins to say that the bed is all wet!!! I mean ridiculous is not the word for these people.. and best part is there is no one you can complaint to!! Please don’t book your stay with them and spoil your vacation time unnecessarily!!

We were looking for a pet friendly place, since we can't leave our little pug behind and that led us to find Sambodhi Retreat Located at a small village in Bodh Gaya. Experience was awesome, right from the booking process till we checked out. We Stayed there for 3nights/days and could have easily stayed for a week. They also arranged candle night dinner for our parents 39th Anniversary at reasonable price. I'm forgetting the names but entire staff including reception, house keeping to restaurant did their best to make our stay a memorable one. The property is huge and you won't feel like going outside. You get soothing poolside, and greenery all around. My favourite place was watching ducks and listening birds chirping out loud. You end up feeling that you are at a hill station not a crowded and hot city like Gaya. In today's age, hotels have to be pet friendly. It's almost a crime to not allowed pets. Here Sambodhi stand apart in entire state. Hope others learn quickly. We stayed at VIP green cottage which is well designed and sufficient for a family of 5-6. There were minor glitches like hot water not working, but it was fixed as soon as we pointed it out. Location wise the resort is away from city hustle and just 15 mins drive from main Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Daya. I would highly recommend it to everyone visiting Bodh Gaya or travelling across Rajgir - Gaya tourist belt. Thank you to entire Sambodhi Retreat team for comfortable and memorable stay.

Recently I had booked Sambodhi retreat recommended by TripAdvisor through hotels.com. Booking was confirmed and prepaid for 5th Feb 2021, but when I reached on the resort I was surprised that it was closed since march 2020. I don't know why TripAdvisor is suggesting such a fake vendors like hotels.com for booking any hotels, till date I had not received any refund or any compensation. I will not recommended such service.

its nice & awesome place to stay with family or friend .. even our children enjoy a lot, it has a nice children activities area .. I had a wonderful experience over there, The food and stay are good ..
